Location: Glostrup , Contractor: AG Gulve, Square meters: 30,000m2,
Categories: Multi Unit Housing
More than 1,200 public housings have been renovated at Stadionkvarteret – a neighbourhood in Glostrup. The extensive building project’s aim is to modernize the residential area to become more socially sustainable and inclusive, which will make room for more diverse residential compositions.
“Stadionkvarteret is one of Denmark’s largest renovation projects. We have completed six housings every week for the past four years,” states Jesper Christensen, project manager at the flooring contractor company AG Gulve.
A solid hardwood floor from Junckers adorns every residence. The floor is an Ash Parquet Millrun with a beautiful Ultra matt lacquered surface.
A total amount of 30,000 m2 of wooden floors has been supplied to the project.
“Ash is one of Europe´s great varieties of hardwood tree. Its strength properties, elegant and pale look and characteristically dark graining makes it a very coveted floor. In time, due to the natural aging of the wood, ash will get a warm and golden look,” explains project manager of Junckers Jesper Winther.
Junckers extents our thanks to AG Gulve for the borrowing of photos and text.
