In 1996 Copenhagen based architects Arkitekt Ministeriet transformed a former trade union conference hall into the popular nightclub Ideal Bar. Junckers was part of the creative process from the beginning.
The new logo of Ideal Bar appears on the beautiful wall of gold-coloured planks. The rest of the room is dominated by the dark 2 strip flooring in Black Oak, penetrated by light triangles on the many mobile elements which can be converted from a scene to cinema sofas to cocktail tables etc.
The floor in Ideal Bar must be able to stand up to very hard wear and work within the demands posed by the building’s history. The choice fell on Junckers’ solid 2 strip floor in Black Oak – a floor that creates a feeling of authenticity and quality with its dark shades of colour.
