The most important rule must be: Always make sure that you choose the correct basic materials right from the start. Choosing the wrong color for a wall can easily be remedied. But choosing the wrong floor can result in paying an unnecessary amount of money to remedy the damage.
DESIGN
One of the greatest strengths of wooden flooring is that it is classically timeless. We have been using wood for floors for more than 1,000 years and despite countless changing trends in style and design, the floor proves its worth in that the natural expression never goes out of fashion.
Wooden floors can have different expressions depending on the species of wood and surface treatment. The classic choice is the fully polished, smooth surface. The top layer of the soft wood between the grain ridges is removed to produce a brushed surface. The grain of the wood is emphasized, giving it a characteristic raw look.
You may also want contrast - e.g. between a dark floor and white walls. Remember that a dark wooden floor absorbs light, whilst a light floor reflects it. Finally, remember that hardwoods can cope with more wear and tear than softwoods. All Junckers wooden floors are made from hardwood.

GRADES
Classic | Harmony | Variation
Junckers solid hardwood flooring is available in three different grades: Classic, Harmony and Variation. All the above are produced in 100% solid hardwood in the same high quality. The difference is found in the look of the flooring, which ranges from very plain floors with few knots and grain markings, to lots of detail in the natural pattern of the wood.
THE THICKNESS OF A NEW HARDWOOD FLOOR SHOULD SUIT THE HOUSE
It is easiest if your new hardwood floor is the right height for door moldings, doorsteps and other surfaces such as tiles that already exist in the house. If the floorboards you choose are too high, you will have to strip everything out and start from scratch.
If they are too thick, there will be a gap to be covered. You should therefore consider how much work you want involved with a new floor before choosing the thickness. Junckers wooden floors are available in a range of thicknesses. See more under the individual product.
UNDERFLOOR HEATING OR RADIATORS
Wood is a good insulating material in itself and doesn’t feel as cold to walk on as, e.g. a tiled floor. Regardless of whether you have radiators or underfloor heating in your home, you can lay a Junckers wooden floor. There is a bit more cutting work around pipes if you have radiators, but otherwise you only have to ensure that there are no leaks in the pipes or joints.
For underfloor heating, make sure that the heating system is designed to provide an even temperature distribution across the upper surface of the sub-floor. All underfloor heating systems work well with Junckers wooden floors. Read more here:

Junckers offers 2 strip wooden flooring, plank flooring, herringbone flooring and pattern flooring. All of these are beautiful floors but have different expressions.

A plank floor consists of one-piece boards. They give a calm and exclusive overall look. A 2 strip wooden floor consists of multiple short staves of wood in two rows in a board providing a livelier look to the floor.
A herringbone floor from Junckers consists of single staves of wood or planks in shorter dimensions.
