The student union at the University of the Arts, Norwich, designed by Hudson Architects, flooring supplied by Hargreaves Reclaimed Flooring.
The Bank Plain building, which used to be a Barclays Bank, is Grade II listed. As part of Phase 2 of the redevelopment of the building for the university, Hudson Architects created an accessible, inviting, and creative space for students and staff for clubs, societies and social events. The solid beech floor, which had a previous life as a sports floor in a Scottish gymnasium, is a striking backdrop to the busy canteen and social workspace.
