Smådalarö Gård

Smådalarö Gård hotel and spa in the Stockholm archipelago has been expanded and renovated with new hotel rooms, a large event space, a bar and one of Sweden’s largest spas.

The old manor house with its traditional Swedish, red-painted timber façade sits in scenic surroundings right by the waterside. Koncept design and architecture drew on the hotel’s rustic, natural setting using carefully chosen natural materials in a soft, homely colour palette. The elegant design in the new Deluxe bedrooms features solid oak flooring from Junckers, providing a warm backdrop to the interior.

The new rooms and spaces, including a yoga studio and gym, benefit from flooring which has a positive impact on the indoor climate. With a perfectly smooth and crevice-free surface, Junckers’ solid wood flooring cannot harbour dust or mites. An all-natural material, wood is warm to the touch, maintains an even temperature in a room and helps eliminate static from electrical appliances. Junckers’ floors carry the Danish Indoor Climate label (recognised by BREEAM).

Smådalarö Gård hotel and spa has won two awards in the internationally renowned LIV Hospitality Design Awards, categories: Architectural Design Hotel – Luxury; and Architectural Design - Brand New.
